[PODCAST] Shut Up and Watch This! - Episode 15: The Nerdsphere Network Second Anniversary/Autobot City Reunion

Sorry, listeners of the "Shut Up & Watch This" Podcast, but normal service shall resume next week.

Until then, here is a celebration of two years of the Nerdsphere Network website, with a ABC reunion, messages from Nerdsphere members, and finally the Q & A session.

WARNING: For a podcast that originally talked about Transformers, there's very little TF talk in here. But there is a ton of Kamen Rider talk for those that are interested.

And thank you to everybody who has contributed over the past two years. You rock!!

Masters of the Universe Chronicles - Vintage to Classics - The "Lost" Episode

Welcome back for another Masters of the Universe discussion! Quite some time ago, I did a podcast and discussed our favourite figures and so many new Classic figures have been released, why not revisit it?

I was joined by Not Mint In Box colleague and friend Rob Base, Dylan Cook and James Sawyer who both have Facebook MOTUC pages and the guy behind the camera on Radical Retro Turtle Toy Talk - Suine Hallock! This has been a 'lost' episode as it was recorded in August 2010! Still this wont detract from the enjoyment of the guys discussing their favourite figures etc!

The guys talk about all the lines and when we get to discuss Mattycollector.com and Digital River, it kinda goes pear shaped and we spend a bit of time on it! All our own opinions and hope that you enjoy this episode that brings back memories for us all!

I will be doing a discussion based on the 2002 figures soon as well as there is enough figures to discuss. If you are interested in joining in the discussion, then you can contact me. Details are below. As always you can contribute to the show by emailing myself on vintoman@popculturenetwork.com contact him on skype where his username is Vinto316. Plenty of ways to interact with me and the show so I look forward to hearing from you!

Masters of the Universe Chronicles - "Creatures from the Tar Swamp" Commentary

Welcome to another Masters of the Universe Chronicles Commentary!

In one of the many Masters of the Universe Chronicles commentaries, myself and He-Man cartoon expert James “Busta Toons” Eatock commentate on “Creatures from the tar swamp”. This is a very random commentary due to Mr Eatock. Why is that? All will be revealed. Well the episode commentary will divulge lots of information, mainly from Mr Eatock so no need to panic! So if you have the DVD, why not join us by popping it in your player. All you need do is press the play button on your DVD remote when we instruct you to! The audio of the episode is in the background so you will hear what we’re talking about regardless.

Plenty of other ones to share so hope you enjoy what you hear!

Neon Nightmares

I have seen the face of The Beast...and its day-glow green. YES, I hate neon toys - those monstrosities they crept up in the 90's and have started to have a resurgence...but its not an unfounded hatred. There is method in my madness....head on over to THIS THREAD to join my cause or try to explain to me why I should not throw every Actionmaster Thundercracker into the Smelting Pool.

An obituary for Roy Skelton

Sadly this year we have lost two Doctor Who greats in Nicholas Courtney and Elisabeth Sladen. Now we have lost another in Roy Skelton. He impacted people's childhood in one way or another. Let me explain how in case you are unfamiliar with the gentleman's vocal talent. First of all and I only found this out recently whilst watching the special features of "Genesis of the Daleks" was that he voiced many a Dalek between 1967 and 1988. I instantly recognised his voice but not for that reason! I wasn't a big Doctor Who fan growing up but knew his voice from another hit show. That show was known as Rainbow which ran for some 25+ years!

Yes Mr Skelton did the voice for both the pink hippo called George and the rugby ball with a zip for a mouth called Zippy. It was a great show and a main stable in my childhood viewing. Mr Skelton said he even did the voices when the two characters were arguing! Now that takes skill. With great sadness another hero for many children has sadly passed on.

"Up above the trees and houses, rainbows climbing high" we can know that Mr Skelton will climb up high to heaven and may the great man rest in peace. Thanks for the memories sir.
