Back to the Eighties - Movie Commentary: Batman Returns (1992)
It's the turn of the Bat, the Cat and the Penguin (and The Walken) in this week's commentary - yes, Batman Returns! (Or Tim Burton's Batman, if you prefer)
Listen to Dave and Glenn as they discuss the highs and lows of the movie, the people considered for the roles, how Robin might have been portrayed a LOT differently than you'd expect, and just why is Batman a little bit like the Michael Bay Optimus Prime in this movie?

Good morning campers, Hi-de-Hiiiiii!
Yes, it's the Perry & Croft classic sitcom that's under the spotlight in this edition, as Glenn takes you through the thrills of the Knobbly Knees competition, to the wonder of the custard pie throwing event, to the relative calm of the end of week dance, where our resident Elvis impersonator will wow you (but only from the waist up).
Also, all the news that's worth talking about this week, and a whole boatload of questions to keep you happy, including the whereabouts of such 80's icons as Gary Wilmot, Gordon Burns and the Grumbleweeds...

[PODCAST] Master Avengers Theater - Episode 1 & 2
NOTE: M.A.T. was originally intended for the "Moonbase 2" series of podcasts, but due to undisclosed events, has had to find a new home. I have decided to let Andy continue the series in my "Shut Up & Watch This!" RSS feed, so people on iTunes need to add this to their subscriptions for future instalments.
These are roundtables based around a single episode of "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes", hosted by MB2 / Shut Up & Watch This!'s own Andy / CobracommanderTFW and Mikey / GWolfV3, with a third member on rotation.
In the first episode (Originally aired under Moonbase 2), Andy, Timey and GogDog talk about episode one: "Iron Man Is Born!".
Then, making it's Podcast debut on The Nerdsphere, Andy, Mikey and Nicole discuss episode two: "Thor the Mighty".

Back to the Eighties - Movie Commentary: Batman (1989)
This time as promised many moons ago, it IS Tim Burton's first Batman movie, which was released all the way back in 1989. Seems a long time ago now. Which is mainly because, well, it is.
Anyway, sit back, relax, and listen to two nerdy men ramble on while a movie plays in the background! And remember, if you gotta go, go with a smile.

Stardub - 2.11: Hothtage to Fortune
We kick things off with an epic struggle as we review and report on the epic struggle that was Lego Star Wars: Battle of Hoth game. Which of our co-hosts emerged victorious?
We dip our feet into Doctor Who as we take a look at Full Circle – the first story of the E-Space trilogy, one of the stories from Tom Baker’s last season as the Doctor. (Season 18). Written by Andrew Smith, directed by Peter Grimwade featuring the first appearance of Adric. Script edited by Christopher H Bidmead.
Ralph brings an issue of The Pheonix comic (available at waitrose, certain speciality comic shops and directly on a subscription basis from their website at HERE) to our attention as we give it the once over.
Sh1ts and Googles sees the words “banjo” and “spatula” expose us to new forms of wildlife.
We round out the bumper length podcast with Andy taking the time to review of Riot Gear issue 7 from Triumphant Comics, something he foreshadowed in Stardub 80.5!
Available from HERE and to download via iTunes.

It's all about the ITV regions this week, as Glenn & Phil discuss the area where you grew up and what idiosyncrasies they had, as well as which idents scared you (or which didn't, as the case may be.
There's also NEWS! Well, there isn't much really, but let's be enthusiastic anyway. At least what we DO have is exciting.
We also answer some of your questions, as well as probe deep into the subconscious mind of the Glennster. It ain't pretty.

Stardub - 2.10: And the final score is Danger 5, Thunderbirds 2086
Apologies folks, some technical gremlins meant this should have gone out on the 3rd of June while the Stardub team were on holiday.
Your Pop Culture Cenobites kick things off with a look at Danger 5, which sees us veer into discussion of Gerry Anderson’s Thunderbirds. Battle-lines are drawn, swearing occurs, guns are stuck to and nobody wavers in their position.
We then look at the Star Comics Digest Volume 1 (encompassing Royal Roy, Planet Terry, Top Dog and Wally the Wizard) which Ralph kindly gave to Andy for his birthday. The fact he also supplied the Spider-Ham digest is the only reason he is still alive.
The shiny goodness of Death’s Head II issue 14 (flip book with Death’s Head II Gold Issue zero) from Marvel UK is lovingly eviscerated by your hosts. The shiny cover is very pretty and we get distracted by the adverts in the comic as well.
In Sh1ts and Googles this episode we have the words “Fire” and “face” to thank for us finding out about a German stage play about incest.
Available now via HERE or subscribe via iTunes.
