Stardub - 2.25: Thunder, Thunder, Thunder, Thunderstrike? No.
We’re back, after missing a week, due to scheduling issues.
So one half of the team is hopped up on pain medication as he has a busted wing, but that doesn’t stop us sharing our thoughts on Marvel Comics, Thunderstrike Issue 1, penned by Tom DeFalco and Ron Frenz spinning out of their run on The Mighty Thor. He’s a thirty-something architect with the power of Thor, but in dire need of a new costume and a new name, as there is already a Thor kicking around. We’d be remiss to point out the splendid holofoil cover – god bless you 1990′s comics. We take some time to take a look at the plethora of adverts in the comic, which were always a source of fascination to us across the pond here in the UK.
We also talk around the recent Big Finish Doctor Who audio release Dark Eyes featuring Paul McGann as the Eighth Doctor. Why do we talk around it? Well we’d spoil the plot of it, but suffice it to say we heartlily recommend that you go to the Big Finish website and purchase it. It has Daleks, the Dalek Time Controller and Toby “The Dreamlord, Arnim Zola, Alfred Hitchcock” Jones in it.
The podcast ends with exciting news about the next episode and some arbitrary renumbering in the style of mid 2000′s Marvel Comics. Exciting stuff.
Available from HERE or via our iTunes feed.

Shut Up and Watch This! - Commentary Roulette Episode 1: Tokusatsu Takedown
NOTE: This podcast is a spin-off of the Shut Up & Watch This series, and will not be a part of the SU&WT episode numbering, but will share the same RSS feed. Episode 76 will be arriving next week as planned.
In the innaugral episode of Commentary Roulette, and as a precursor to SU&WT's Toku Month, Timey gathers Hulkster, Moon and Becca together for two hours of Tokusatsu fun and hijinks.
The only person who knows what they will be watching is Timey himself, with a selection of six TV shows to choose from. The only guess the participants will get is a single keyword that describes the subject.
For those who want to play along at home, here is the list along with the relevant YouTube links. When you hear the cue, click on the link and watch as the madness unfolds on the commentary.
Remember: no peeking, or the podcast gods will come for you
Have fun! In the meantime if you have the courage to take part in a future episode, contact Timey via Twitter @Timey2Wimey

RCP - Episode 157: The Battlestar That Never Was ...
So after a problematic attempt at a skype recording last week, StaticRift and myself decided not to waste the opportunity and discuss the 'Battlestar Galactica: The Second Coming' trailer.
Overall it's a pretty interesting pitch trailer and it would be awesome if the fully filmed version was released one day. Please enjoy.

Shut Up and Watch This! - Episode 74: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Coming Out of Their Shells Live Tour (Commentary)
After an absence of several months, Timey & Grufflock reunite for the Fifth in their recurring series of Turtles commentaries.
In the first show of 2013, we return to a popular subseries in the podcast - The Ninja Turtles commentaries! If you remember, the last one we did covered the Japanese OVAs. I think we found something that made even those bearable. Don't believe me? Come with us as we take you through a road paved with the pain and suffering of our very hearts and minds - let us take you, fair listeners, to the Coming Out of Their Shells Live Tour.
It's all your fault, by the way. You wanted this series to return, and you got it. Now you must suffer the consequences. There MUST be some good to come out from all this?!

RCP Vs FF - Episode 100: Ancient Douchebags The Remake!

Anywho a big thank you for Dying English for co-hosting this one and a big thank you to everyone who has stuck this far with us. Here's to another 100 episodes!

RCP - Episode 156: 'What A Load Of Old Pants!'
No your eyes aren't playing tricks, that's Bruce Lee hanging out with Popeye and Caine ... In hell ...
Yeap me and my uncle took a look at this 'Bruceploitation' movie titled The Dragon Lives Again!
The plot is Bruce Lee wakes up in hell, meets an Asian Popeye and Caine from Kung-Fu The Series as well as the Underworld Mafia who's members include James Bond and the Godfather.
Yes bruceploitation is an actual genre, I recommend checking out some of the films especially as many of them are in Poundland.

Stardub - 2.24: Guaranteed to Wart Off the Winter Blues
We kick off 2013 with a look at something that has had a profound influence on both myself and Ralph, although we did not acquire it till more recently, I speak of Transformers: Continued Generation 2, published by TMUK (Transmasters UK), specifically Issue 18, or the fifth TMUK issue, from the Space Year 1995. This issue kindly given to me by the Fanzine's editor and wonderful chap, Matt Dallas.
We then move on another massive franchise and an aspect of it that has been cruelly overlooked in years and we speak of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.
Overlooked?! I hear you say - I refer to the BBC Radio versions of both, with The Hobbit being originally produced in 1968, and The Lord of the Rings in 1982. Two adaptations that don't have the recognition or popularity that both deserve, especially LOTR, as the late Michael Hordern gives us the definitive portrayal of Gandalf.
Bringing this first episode to a typically disreputable conclusion is another of Ralph's leaflets - "What Do You Know About Genital Warts?"
