Alas, as I was away this weekend celebrating various family-related functions, there was no S.A.M. on Saturday, but fear not, True Believer! As Superman, Batman & Captain Marvel join forces with our Sunday heroes for one bumper edition!

Now for some cool news - Flash Gordon, The Phantom and Mandrake are returning as a team in modern day comic books! Coming soon from Dynamite comics is "King's Watch" where the three heroe and Lothor will team up against all of their foes. It's NOT Defenders of the Earth, but it's closest we'll ever get to a modern day revival. Coincidence? Hardly, but it's a lovely bit of serendipity anyway.

Stay tuned next weekend as we return to see if any of our heroes get to cheat death...... spoiler: they do :P
