[PODCAST] Autobot City Episode 40 (Botcon Special) Released!

No Phil this week, but we are joined by Shawn/Cybertron Ax to talk about the social aspect of the convention, as well as what happened at the convention from a his point of view.

[PODCAST NEWS] Autobot City taking a breather after Episode 40, final show coming out in a few weeks!

After Episode 40 (Which features the temporary return of original co-host Shawn/Cybertron Ax) we are taking a breather so we can plan out and record our final show. I want Episode 41 to completely blow everything out of the water, and that involves a lot of work. Thank you for your patience and trust me, it will pay off ;)

Episode 40 will be out either tonight or tomorrow afternoon, depending on schedules.

[VIDEO] Transformers Headmasters Episode 6 - The Doomsday Meteorite

In a break from our usual weekly audiobook presentation, I present to you the latest in Dark Heroes Entertainment's "Headmasters" English fandub. OK, the voice acting might not be oscar-winning material, but it sure beats the STAR TV dub!

[PODCAST] Moonbase 2 Episode 113 Released?!

You might ask yourself "OK, something's not right here! Why are you presenting to us a podcast from one of the competition?!" Well, it's because this week, our friends Dave and Andy team up with Glenn and Jeremy from our very own "Back to the 80's" Podcast to present the biggest crossover of the century! The boys cover all the news relating to BotCon 2010, and a little bit of War for Cybertron thrown in for good measure.

So in honour of Botcon being this weekend as well as the release of Transformers: War for Cybertron, we spend an hour talking about the game and how we think it stands up as a game and as a piece of franchise fiction. Yeah, this one is REALLY NERDY. Oh and btw, OMG SPOILARZ !!!!!!!11TWO!!

This week we transmit:
  • STAN BUSH!!!!
  • War for Cybertron
  • War for Cybertron
  • Thermal Scopes on Riot Shields
  • War for Cybertron
  • The realism of fake firearms
  • War for...something...
  • Bob knows how to work the system
  • Activision's disaster of distribution
  • What's Singularity?

Oh, and as an addendum, Matt actually got his copy of War for Cybertron right after this episode aired, his wife got it for him. That's love, folks.

[OBITUARY] Pennant Roberts (1940 - 2010)

Pennant Roberts, who had directed a ton of British television shows in the 1970s-80s, including episodes for both Blake's 7 and the original Doctor Who series, died this past Tuesday after a year-long battle with cancer. He was 69.

For Doctor Who, Roberts directed the following stories: The Face of Evil, The Sun Makers, The Pirate Planet, Warriors of the Deep and Timelash.

Roberts also directed the unfinished Douglas Adams-penned Tom Baker story "Shada" which was eventually completed for audio with Paul McGann in the lead.

On behalf of the Nerdsphere, I would like to send out my deepest sympathies to the family of Pennant Roberts, including his wife Betsan, at this time.

[VIDEO] Botcon fan film Award Winner - REAL WORLD IACON!

Nerdsphere forum member and professional voice actor Jon Bailey/JON3.0 has won a competition at BotCon to produce a fan-made film. The film is based on MTV's "The Real World" and includes many of our favourite G1 characters under a slight skewed light. Our very own Princess of Plastic, Nicole/Hailstorm provides the voice of "RC" a very *Ahem* well-endowed fembot.
